I think you should just send pictures of Stinky in your appeal. Explain, "I am an 18 year old cat. I may not be here when my owner comes back." Maybe that would count as personal hardship!!! It should!!!!
I agree with Mira; certainly an 18-year old cat near death should constitute a hardship! Oh, and I love the "amazing Wanda" thing. HA HA HA
